Every year, more and more Russian tourists are opting for independent travel in Asia, especially in Thailand. This tropical country attracts tourists with its magnificent beaches, affordable prices for food and accommodations, rich culture and diverse attractions, and, of course, the opportunity to organize wedding ceremony on the coast of the islands of Koh Samui, Koh Chang and Phuket.
Unlike a package tour, traveling independently in Thailand offers several advantages. Firstly, you're not limited in the length of your stay; you can stretch your vacation over several weeks, a month, or even six months, unlike tour operators who offer vacations of no more than a couple of weeks. Secondly, organizing an independent trip to Thailand gives you the opportunity to visit many corners of this wonderful country and isn't tied to just one region.
When planning a vacation, the first thing on the agenda is air travel, which takes up a significant portion of the vacation budget. Direct flights from Russia to Thailand are available with three airlines offering regular flights to this destination.
1. Aeroflot is one of the leaders in the Russian air travel market. Thanks to its membership in the SkyTeam alliance, passengers can plan their travel across the alliance's entire network, covering more than 187 countries. Aeroflot offers direct flights from Moscow to Bangkok daily from Sheremetyevo Airport on Airbus A330 aircraft. Tickets can be booked on the company's website at http://www.aeroflot.ru/
2. Thai Airways (Thai Airways International) is the national carrier of the Kingdom of Thailand. Currently, the airline operates direct flights from Moscow to Bangkok on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and from Bangkok, convenient domestic flights are available to Phuket, Krabi, Koh Chang, Samui, and Krabi. It's worth noting that the airline pays close attention to its in-flight catering, offering its passengers the opportunity to pre-select special meals. Like most international carriers, Thai Airways has a loyalty program called "Royal Orchid Plus," which is open to all passengers over the age of two. Airfare prices and information on special offers can be found on the airline's Russian-language website at http://www.thai-airways.ru/
In addition to direct flights, you can consider connecting flights. These flights take longer, but are typically cheaper than regular direct flights. Uzbekistan Airways offers flights from Moscow and Novosibirsk to Bangkok with a layover in Tashkent. Air Astana flies from Moscow to Bangkok with a layover in Astana. Besides these two airlines, you can also consider several European and Asian carriers, but their prices will be higher.
Another alternative is to fly to Bangkok using charter flights. These flights are available through tour operators, but these are seasonal.
We wish you a pleasant journey!
