1. The color of sand in Thailand
Dear friends, if a travel agency promised you snow-white beaches in Thailand, especially on the islands of Samui and Chang, then you should not believe it. The beaches of our wonderful tropical country really do have light sand, but it is not white! There are small coral islands where the sand is very, very light, but nevertheless it is not snow-white, like on the beaches of the Caribbean countries.
It is necessary to take into account the fact that all photographs used in guidebooks and tourist catalogues undergo professional processing, and this processing achieves the effect of snow-white beaches.
It is also worth noting that the color of the sand on the same island, but on different beaches, may differ. If the beach line on the territory of your hotel/villa is very light, this does not mean that the sand at the place of the wedding ceremony and photo shoot will be of the same shade. Our advice is to check in advance with the wedding coordinator on which beach the ceremony or photo shoot will take place, and also look through photo reports from wedding ceremonies that took place on these beaches.
Below we present photographs from wedding ceremonies in different regions of Thailand.

2. Wedding ceremony in Thailand during the rainy season
Thailand, like any other country located near the equator, has a tropical climate, which is characterized by high temperatures and humidity, as well as the presence of rainy seasons. Each region of Thailand has its own weather conditions and its own established period of rainy seasons. Therefore, the very popular opinion that you can only vacation in Thailand in winter is wrong. You can vacation in our country all year round - the most important thing is to choose the right region.
If you still decide to vacation in a certain region and your honeymoon falls during the rainy season, then it is worth considering the peculiarities of the tropical climate in advance. During the wedding ceremony, the sun can be completely hidden by clouds and thick clouds, so do not expect bright, juicy wedding photos, even with professional processing. The photographer will not be able to disperse the clouds, alas, it is not in his power!
On the day of the wedding ceremony, you may also encounter such a weather phenomenon as wind. If you have chosen a styling, and not a wedding hairstyle that fixes your hair, then your styling may fall apart under the influence of the wind. Our stylist's advice is to choose a wedding hairstyle that, due to its good fixation, will allow you to remain irresistible until the end of the wedding day!
During the rainy season, the wind can wash seaweed onto the beach, and even though beach establishments thoroughly clean the beach before the ceremony, no one is immune from the fact that seaweed will appear on the beach during the ceremony - this is an absolutely natural phenomenon. Remember that, just like with the color of the sand, weather conditions in different parts of the same island can vary!
The rainy season in Thailand does not mean that during your trip there will be regular heavy rains and the whole sky will be covered with clouds. The weather in Thailand is very changeable, and if today it is cloudy and rainy, then tomorrow it can be sunny and incredibly hot!
Friends, below are a couple of photos that were taken a few days apart during the rainy season. If the first couple was a little unlucky and there were clouds and wind on the day of the ceremony, then the second couple was blessed with bright sun, calm and cloudless skies.
3. Wedding photographer services in Thailand
It is no secret that in addition to unforgettable impressions from the wedding ceremony, any couple wants to get beautiful wedding photos. Therefore, when ordering a wedding ceremony, carefully read the offer made to you by the wedding agency.
Traditionally, the proposal includes not only a description of the ceremony itself, but also links/links to an example of a ceremony where the photographer was the specialist offered to you. If such information is not included in the proposal, the wedding coordinator will additionally send you links with examples of the photographer's work. Be sure to take the time to look through the photographer's portfolio! It is always better to clarify once again who your photographer will be and request examples of his work so that your expectations are fully met. If you have specific wishes for the photo shoot, voice them to the photographer!
Also pay attention to the number of photos you will receive after the wedding photo shoot, the conditions of wedding agencies may differ. For example, our wedding agency provides the couple with 50 photos with color and tone correction for 1 hour of the photographer's work, unless other conditions have been agreed upon with the couple in advance. If after receiving the wedding photos you have any comments on the processing of the photos, you can always indicate this in a letter to the wedding coordinator. Any wedding agency that cares about its reputation will definitely eliminate the shortcomings!
4. The image of the bride
On such an important and solemn day, any bride wants to look delightful and unique. Therefore, when thinking about your wedding image, take our advice into account.
A beautiful, even tan is an absolute plus, especially for wedding photos. But you should be very careful with your skin, especially in the first days of your stay in Thailand. Redness of the skin caused by sunburn will ruin your wedding photos, and only deep retouching, which photographers do for an additional fee, can help here. Remember that in Thailand you can get sunburned even in cloudy weather while sunbathing under an umbrella, so always use sunscreens with the highest protection level and sunbathe only in the morning or afternoon. Those with very light skin that burns instantly should plan the ceremony in the first days of your honeymoon.
If your wedding ceremony is going to take place on the beach, then give up the idea of taking wedding shoes with heels. Such shoes are absolutely not suitable for a beach ceremony, the heels will constantly fall into the sand. The ideal choice is sandals with a flat sole, which are fixed on the feet with a clasp or lacing.
It is worth entrusting the creation of a wedding image (hairstyle and makeup) to a professional, this will guarantee you long-lasting makeup that will withstand high humidity, and an elegant hairstyle that will retain its appearance until the end of the wedding celebration. As we have already noted earlier, it is better to choose a wedding hairstyle, not leaving your hair loose or curled. The styling is suitable only for a moderate climate or a wedding ceremony indoors, but not for a humid tropical climate or a wedding on the beach.
When planning a wedding ceremony in warm sunny Thailand, special attention should be paid to the choice of a wedding dress, which is the central element in the bride's image.
Here are some of our tips:
1. The perfect dress silhouette for a beach wedding ceremony is a Greek style dress that suits any body type.
2. You should not give preference to very fluffy dresses; in such a wedding dress in a humid, hot tropical climate you will quickly sweat.
3. Avoid wrap dresses or dresses with large side slits - strong winds are not uncommon in Thailand, and you will be exhausted from constantly adjusting and holding your dress during the photo shoot.
4. Say "no" to a dress of perfect snow-white color, in photos it can acquire a blue/blue tint. Choose dresses of slightly cream, beige, milky shade.
5. Don't overload your dress with rhinestones and glitter. It's better to choose a contrasting belt that will match the color scheme of the wedding ceremony.
6. You can rent or buy a wedding dress in Thailand, but the choice is very limited in terms of style or size. Our advice to brides is to bring your wedding dress with you and simply steam it upon arrival in Thailand.
