Many people visiting Thailand dream of touching the indescribable culture, traditions and customs, especially the Thai wedding. The Thai wedding ritual is a combination of Buddhist religious ceremonies with the cultural rites of Thailand. One of the main components of the wedding is receiving a blessing from the family, as well as a Buddhist wedding ceremony. According to religious beliefs set out in Buddhism, monks cannot eat after 12 o'clock and after sunset, in connection with which all ceremonies are held from 9 to 11 am, as well as from 2 to 3 pm, after which the monks should be fed (usually rice and vegetables, as well as drinks), and also make a donation to the temple. Before the ceremony, you should Khaan Mun and Khaan Maak - ceremonies of presenting flower arrangements to the parents of the bride and groom (there must be an even number of flowers in the bouquet) as a sign of respect for the parents.
The ceremony follows. Rod Nam Sang— is a ceremony of blessing with water from the parents of the bride and groom, as well as friends and relatives. For its implementation, special dishes are used, and a Thai flower composition is also made, onto which water will flow from the hands.
Pook Mue — a ceremony of tying special bracelets on the wrists of the newlyweds by their closest friends. The bracelets are made of special threads, consist of 3-9 threads, 10-12 cm in width.
This ceremony is one of the most important in traditional thai wedding, by holding it, the guests thereby give you their positive emotions, saying wishes and blessing you for a long happy life.
These ceremonies may differ slightly in the north and south of Thailand, but their general meaning and ritual remain the same. At the end of a Thai wedding, the newlyweds can hold a ceremony of exchanging rings or complement the Thai wedding by holding a social ceremony on the beach or villa.
