This February, the Tourism Authority of Thailand is offering all couples a special wedding gift: fast-track immigration clearance. This offer applies to newlyweds who have chosen Thailand as their honeymoon destination and to couples who are planning to officially register their marriage in Thailand.
This week, the Tourism Authority of Thailand announced that all honeymooners, newlyweds and "loving partners" who check in at counters located at Suvarnabhumi and Phuket International Airports can use the so-called "premium lane" that provides fast-track immigration clearance.
Couples will also be eligible for gifts and other benefits, including entry into a drawing for prizes including hotel stays, spa treatments, and dinner gift certificates.
At Suvarnabhumi, check-in counters are located at the end of the moving walkways in the East Concourse, which receives passengers from Gates B, C, and D, and in the West Concourse, which receives passengers from Gates E, F, and G. At Phuket Airport, the check-in counter is located in the main passenger hall.
Tourism Authority of Thailand head Thawatchai Arunyik noted that Thailand was named the "Sexiest Romance/Honeymoon Destination in Asia" this year in a survey conducted by the publication "Recommend» among its readers in the United States. According to Thawatchai Arunyik, this award is further evidence that Thailand offers a wide range of high-quality products and services that meet the needs of newlyweds and couples.
